Behind the Lens | Shanta Bender
I am a self-taught wedding and portrait photographer located
in Birmingham, Alabama. My interest in photography began after watching my
father and aunt take pictures of our family. Yet, it was 2009 when I began to
learn and pursue my passion for photography after I received my first DSLR
camera, as a present after countless disposables and ‘point and shoot’ cameras.
It was then photography became a very important part of my life. However, I am
much more than just a photographer hiding behind a lens or a computer screen.
I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and MOMMY of one incredibly loving
daughter and she is my absolute priority. I'm a pretty bubbly person and love
to laugh! I love Jesus, my beautiful daughter Shelby, and my family so much! I
love being a photographer, but more importantly, I love my clients, their
families and the memories I am blessed to capture.
I am available for all kinds of photography including;
Family Portraits, Maternity and Newborn Photography, Wedding Photography,
Senior Pictures, and Special Events. My style is very natural. Photography is a
very important aspect of all these times of our lives, and I am hoping that you
love my photography enough to count on me to be there for you. My goal is to
create more than just photos, but memories for you & your family to cherish
for a lifetime.
When I'm not behind my camera, you can find me spending time
with my daughter and other loved ones --- shopping, reading, blogging,
listening to music, going to the movies, and I love to eat. Enough about me!
